How to Play

Jump across every cube on the pyramid to change its color. Fully light every cube to clear the level. Avoid enemies and don't jump off the edge!

Objective

• On level 1, jump onto each cube once to light it gold. From level 2 onward, each cube needs two jumps — one to shift it partway (orange), one to finish it (gold).
• Fully light every cube in the pyramid to advance to the next (faster, trickier) level.
• Avoid Coily (the snake), Ugg & Wrong-Way (the purple climbers), and Slick & Sam (the green sliders) — touching any of them costs a life.
• Jumping off the pyramid's edge also costs a life.
• Watch out for Slick & Sam — they slide down the pyramid and turn cubes you already lit back to their original color.
• Grab the rolling Red or Green Ball for a bonus and to freeze every enemy in place for a few seconds.
• Every 10,000 points earns you a bonus life.
• The top cube is a safe home base — you're protected from enemies there for 5 seconds after landing on it.
• The pyramid's colors shift to a new theme every few levels.

Desktop Controls

• Arrow keys jump diagonally: Up = up-left, Right = up-right, Left = down-left, Down = down-right.
• Or click directly on a cube next to Q*bert to jump onto it.

Mobile Controls

• Use the diagonal arrow buttons below the pyramid to jump.
• Or tap directly on a cube next to Q*bert to jump onto it.

The Flying Disc

• A disc periodically flies in and parks beside an edge cube.
• Stand on that cube and jump toward the disc to ride it to the top of the pyramid — a safe escape that also scores bonus points.
• Boarding the disc near Coily can knock him off the pyramid too.

Settings

• The Settings screen lets you set game speed and volume, plus an Advanced Settings panel to tune enemy speeds, how often things appear, and the stun ball's freeze time. Your choices are remembered for next time.
