The goal
Find as many words as you can by linking dice that touch — side to side, up and down, or corner to corner. Each die can be used only once in a word.
Spelling a word
- Drag across the letters and let go to play the word.
- Or tap the letters in order, then tap the last letter again to play it.
- Tap a letter already in your word to back up to it. Tap a letter that isn’t next to your last one to start a new word. Tap off the board to clear the word.
Which words count
- Words must be at least 3 letters on the Classic 16 and New 16 dice, and at least 4 letters on Big 25 and Super Big 36. Shorter words are not added to your list.
- Words are checked against the game’s word list. A word that isn’t on it stays in your list crossed out and scores nothing.
Special dice
- Qu is one die and counts as two letters.
- Double-letter cube (Super Big 36 only): An, Er, He, In, Qu or Th. Both letters are used in that order and count as two letters.
- Blank cube (Super Big 36 only): a solid blue square. It can’t be used and words can’t pass through it — spell around it.
Scoring
| Letters | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8+ |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Points | 1 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 5 | 11 |
On Big 25 and Super Big 36, 3-letter words don’t count. On Super Big 36, words of 9 or more letters score 2 points per letter.
Playing solo
The counter shows how many of the board’s possible words you’ve found. In an untimed game, press End Round when you’re done.
Playing against the computer players
Aunt Bev, Uncle Walt and Cousin Duane hunt for words on the same board. When time runs out, any word found by more than one player is crossed off and scores nothing for anyone. Play as many rounds as you like, then press Finish Game to see the final standings.
The Oracle
Press The Oracle and a glowing path traces a word you haven’t found yet. You still have to spell it yourself to score it. Press Another word for a different one.
After each round
You’ll see every player’s words and the words nobody found. Tap any word to see it traced on the dice.
