Bird Garden Guide (Rev 4.3)

  1. Scatter Seed on the Lawn: Click the grass to scatter seed. This is the engine of the whole garden — the more you scatter, the faster birds arrive and the more of them the yard will hold.
  2. The Garden Grows: Scattered seed also brings the yard to life. Your bare lawn fills in with foliage, then comes into full flower. Watch the Garden readout in the header for how close the next change is.
  3. Feeding Visiting Birds: Click visiting birds directly to feed them and earn seeds. The journal records sightings and feedings separately.
  4. Hover Hotspots: Hover over garden features to display classic label tooltips. On a touchscreen, tap and the label appears briefly.
  5. Ambient Birdsong: Set the volume on the splash screen, or change it any time from the 🔊 button in the header.
  6. Habitat Certifications: Achieve higher seed totals, species counts, and bird feedings to earn official certifications.
  7. Corgi Garden Companion: Earning Class I: Backyard Observer invites the Corgi into your garden lawn. Click the Corgi for a +25 Seed bonus, or to chase away active threats!
  8. Offline Progression: Flower beds keep yielding and the nest keeps growing while you're away, for up to 8 hours.
  9. Nest Lifecycle: A nest in the right tree progresses through 4 stages every 5 minutes, yielding a 50-seed bonus at completion. The watering can advances the cycle once per stage.
  10. Antagonist Threats: Hawks and Cats scatter birds. Slugs and Squirrels drain your seeds. Send the Corgi or purchase shop deterrents to protect the garden.
