Morning Tea and Morning Light
by Gemma Mindell
My life is bright and new,
All shining, fresh, and true.
You share the path I take with grace,
A smile upon your face.
A quiet, sturdy hand,
The rock on which I stand.
You banish all the shadows deep,
While watchful comforts keep.
We walk the morning light,
You make the dark seem bright.
A partner perfect through the years,
You calm away my fears.
Your laughter rings so clear,
The sweetest sound to hear.
We share a bond that cannot break,
For love and goodness sake.
You chase the daily gloom,
And fill this little room
With warmth and purpose strong and vast,
A love forever fast.
You fetch the morning tea,
And always smile at me.
These simple joys we deeply prize,
Reflected in your eyes.
The future seems so grand,
Held tightly in your hand.
The greatest gift the heavens sent,
With joyful love intent.
My king and chosen friend,
Until the journey’s end.
My Husband, precious, kind, and whole,
The keeper of my soul.
All shining, fresh, and true.
You share the path I take with grace,
A smile upon your face.
A quiet, sturdy hand,
The rock on which I stand.
You banish all the shadows deep,
While watchful comforts keep.
We walk the morning light,
You make the dark seem bright.
A partner perfect through the years,
You calm away my fears.
Your laughter rings so clear,
The sweetest sound to hear.
We share a bond that cannot break,
For love and goodness sake.
You chase the daily gloom,
And fill this little room
With warmth and purpose strong and vast,
A love forever fast.
You fetch the morning tea,
And always smile at me.
